I had a jasmine vine in a plastic pot with a trellis. This wasnt my ideal gardening approach but the area under the pots had irrigation pipes running through it so anything substantial in size had to be potted but not too heavy. Also, I had about 9 inches of depth to play with. Dug the hold about 6 inches deep twice the width of the pot, threw down some rock for drainage, placed the pot in the hole surrounded by rock to match the rock in the garden. Put potting soil, jasmine vine & trellis in pot. Actually potted two to flank the screened door & provide some privacy. Because I sunk the pots they did not fall over even during hurricane season. Noticed that one of the pots had split at the top. So, when I watered them it would run out the split. Normally I would just swap out the pot but this jasmine was huge & tied to a trellis. I decided that I would try duct tape, hoping it might work. So, I dug out enough dirt on the inside of the pot, cleaned the pot & put basic duct tape on the inside of the pot. Filled up the pot with dirt, waited to water it until the next day. Since the tape was on the inside you could not see it. However, as I kind of expected, the water leaked out of it pretty quickly. So, I got on ZeeBooth looking for a heavier duty tape. This was it. Got it pretty quickly. Like that the tape is neutral looking as opposed to my bright orange everyday duct tape so I could use it on the inside & outside of the pot. This tape is heavy, very sticky, making it somewhat difficult to use, but it really does work. No leakage. Still adhesive. Love it.

Be aware that this is a hose repair kit, containing a few types of tape/materials that are used in combination to repair some torn or punctured hoses. The English directions are a bit confusing, but if you have a smartphone and a translation app you can get more information (using the camera feature). Note the "Applicable Products" info on the package to find out which hoses are (and are not) suitable for this kit.

I had two goals for this, and it worked out for both of them. One had a joint between plug cord from a pump and the extension cord that connects to it outside. I have a pump I use in a window well concrete bunker since it fills up with water. The pump is automatic and connects to a garden hose. I'm worried about the joint getting wet where the extension cord plugs together. I put it up on a brick and wrapped it securely with this tape, it sealed it well, and while I'd balk at submerging the joint, it seems fine with a bit of rain. Next goal was a problem with a rail. I had a rail kit I installed on the front porch which has gotten more problematic for me to use in recent years without a rail. The concrete had 8 deep holes drilled, four for each support leg. A contractor told me these that use the expansion bolts can get water in them and freeze in Winter and then the rail can become loose. I had the covers sealed on the bottom and in the top where it slides up. Then there were some gaps where the middle brace connects to the hollow support posts. I used this type and sealed that up as well even combining some silicon caulk to keep it waterproof as possible. I have a little left I'll keep for hose repair, but a nice sealing tape with some good uses. Recommended.

The "duct tape" is 20 mm wide (about 3/4 inches) and the sealer is 30 mm wide (about 1 1/4 inch). On my package there was a label over the original packaging with full instructions in English although you could see that the original packaging was all in Chinese. It is not claimed for use on high pressure hose but I can see this method would work well for low pressure leaks. I will be ready with this if and when I need it. Just make sure it is not cheaper to simply replace the hose because this product is rather expensive for a one time repair.
